YEP-AP strengthens diversity and inclusion through youth empowerment. Youth are empowered to create innovative solutions to generate economic opportunities, end discrimination and exclusion, and reduce inequalities and vulnerabilities to ensure that no one is left behind.

UNDP has identified five intersecting factors essential to understanding who is being left behind and why. These factors are discrimination, geography, governance, shocks and fragility and socio-economic status. People at the intersection of these factors face reinforcing and compounding disadvantage and deprivation, making them likely to be among the furthest behind.
